ice cream // peanut butter & malteaser

I went to friends' for dinner and Craig made his own honeycomb ice cream that was just so darned amazing, I tried it out myself the very next night, but I threw in a jar of crunchy peanut butter. This time I made it with peanut butter and Malteasers. YUM. We've been eating it all week! It's only got double cream, single cream and condensed milk in it. Getting my daily dose of dairy... right?

design blogs // september industry

10 Apr 2012

The September Industry is a gorgeous blog that showcases some of the best international graphic and branding design I've seen. Everything's always photographed and styled beautifully and I always take the time to look at their posts properly! Here's a few photos from a recent post that Construct have done for Mulberry. I wish I could do design stuff like this!

music // catchy songs

5 Apr 2012

It's been a while since I've done a music post and following on from my gushy boyband post a couple of weeks ago, I thought I'd share my favourite catchy pop songs. My friends give me a bit of an eye roll when I tell them I've downloaded yet another pop song, but I can't help it. Catchy songs are my staple at the moment. I've been listening to lots of up tempo music since I've been living in London as I find it better to walk to. And I do a lot of walking. Slower music tends to make me sleepy while on the tube or on the go. So bring it 1D and Bieber.

Karmin – Brokenhearted

I'd never heard of Karmin until they performed on the Zooey Deschanel hosted SNL but this song got under my skin and I find myself singing it in my head.

One Direction - One Thing

We all know about my current thing for One Direction and I think this is song is brilliant and will no doubt be on high rotation for ages! It was written by Swedish songwriters who have written for the best of the best in the pop world.

Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe

I had a look on the Australian iTunes chart to find some new music and had seen this girl's name floating around on the Internet. I think she's was on Canadian Idol and saw a video of her on Ellen and Justin Bieber's signed her or something? Anyway super catchy and the video clip made me laugh.

David Guetta feat. Jessie J - Repeat

This is another classic example of how I love uptempo songs that have kind of sad lyrics. David Guetta does know what he's doing.

Tim and Jean – Come Around

I've liked this song for about two years now and it makes me think of summertime and the beach. We've had lovely sunshine in London and now it's gotten cold again. Come back sun!

Justin Bieber – Boyfriend

Okay so this song actually makes me giggle more than anything, but I can't help but love his attempt to sound a bit Futuresexx Lovesound Justin Timberlake. It really makes me think I could write pop songs though. "I could be your Buzz Lightyear". Really? "Swag swag swag swaggie". Hilarious.

Tigercats – Full Moon Reggae Party

This is my friend's band and SO catchy. Not strictly pop like the others but it's my high rotation playlist at the moment! It's a great great film clip that Tigercats' singer Duncan made too.

EDIT!
Stooshe - Love Me

Late entry! Kate from work just showed me this one...

faberge easter egg hunt // instagram

Last Sunday I went egg hunting around London. We split up into two groups and had the challenge of finding about 100 eggs. Yes. That's a lot of eggs. We walked for about 4 hours before we stopped, but it was all around Sloane Square and Knightsbridge (so I just pretended I was in Made in Chelsea) before walking to Oxford Circus and Covent Garden for lunch at Byron for burgers. I had onion rings and now I'm paying for it with a skin break out. It always happens after onion rings!

12 // All 210 eggs are now on display in Covent Garden but some of them were moved early.
13 // I love this little guy but the reflection made it hard to take a good photo.
14 // Here's Craig and Jon, who between them found all 210 eggs! We thought this was the last egg, outside the Cambridge Theatre where Matilda the musical is on, but then the boys went to the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green and found the Where's Wally egg. Then they really had found all of them!
