I do love a collaboration and I really really love Aesop! When an invite to the launch of their collaboration with Marimekko landed in my inbox, I went "Yep! Sign me up!" They've created the Sauna Duet, which is:

Body scrub and body balm inspired by the rituals of Scandinavian bathing culture.
The Aesop-Marimekko Sauna Duet comprises a body scrub and body balm containing richly aromatic essential oils of Fir Needle, Sage Leaf and Pine Needle, and purifying ingredients to help detoxify the skin.
These distinctive products are packaged in recyclable plastic jars and offered in a dedicated cotton bag featuring Marimekko’s ‘Vellamo’ print.

I love me a body scrub and my Body Shop scrub is about to run out, so this is going on my list! It might sound a little strange but the balm actually smells like a sauna - that specific woodsy, piney smell. My friend and I couldn't stop smelling our hands once it was on. That probably sounds weirder than it actually was...

Sam, Jacqui and I attended the launch of the brand spankin' new Kiehl's store in Melbourne Central this week. The smiling DJ (the most enthusatic DJ next to a wind tunnel ever) was spinning tunes and staff were handing out samples and mini bottles of Moet in beakers (don't mind if I do!).

We left with the world's best goody bag full of Ultra Facial products, which I've been using for the past few days and, uh oh, I think it's love! Kiehl's and I are going to be good good friends...



The most exciting part of the evening (for me) was the opportunity to meet one Ms Zoe Foster Blake! If you've never heard of Zoe, then you need to get googling. Stat! Zoe is only my lady hero. She's an author, beauty and dating expert. She's also hilarious and very very nice. Oh, and you might have heard of her equally amazeballs hubby Hamish Blake (half of Hamish & Andy).

A bunch of my friends and I bought Textbook Romance that she wrote with occasionally useful comments by Hamish and it's chock full of helpful info and tips about navigating the dating world! Zoe was so sweet when I told her how it helped us out. I also just got her new Amazing Face app and I think my face is going to be thanking her a heck of a lot more. And because I'm such a Zoe fan, go follow her on Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram.

We also caught up with the super awesome (seriously, she's very cool and up for a laugh) Katy. We missed her Melbourne shows - dangit - but hopefully we can coax her back home to tour again soon!

after rushing from runway 1 to the mimco show, we managed to nab a seat in the front row and settled in to enjoy a lot of bags and jewellery. they flew in actor sophie lowe who looked like she was having a ball walking down the catwalk! my last mimco purchase was before i moved overseas, so it's definitely time to upgrade my 5 year old mimco wallet. i also just found some of my instagram snaps at mimco moment.
