after rushing from runway 1 to the mimco show, we managed to nab a seat in the front row and settled in to enjoy a lot of bags and jewellery. they flew in actor sophie lowe who looked like she was having a ball walking down the catwalk! my last mimco purchase was before i moved overseas, so it's definitely time to upgrade my 5 year old mimco wallet. i also just found some of my instagram snaps at mimco moment.

sorry for the maoooosive photo of barbara palvin, but... sorrynotsorry because she's a total babe! well done to style paws for nabbing her for a shot. then all the other photographers descended!
but i'm getting a bit ahead of myself... sam and i attended the national designer award at tiffany and co on collins street this morning. it was literally breakfast at tiffany's with tiny breakfast-y foods like greek yoghurt with honey, mini bacon rolls and minute quail egg something-or-others. barbara palvin, megan gale and alice burdeu were all in attendance and looking stunning.
big congratulations to from britten who won the award, as well as $10,000 and helpful advice from ANZ. their menswear is stunning (and so was their male model!).
and just a happy snap of style paws because we saw this awesomesauce wall on our travels. everyone should get british india's new album because it's rad.

hello lovelies! if anyone is still reading my blog that is. it's been a big six months with moving countries, then moving cities, but i'm finally settling down in melbourne. anyway, tonight sam and i sat in the front row (yeah, don't know how we managed that!) of the kookai aw13 show. most of it i wouldn't wear as i'm not the size of a model and not comfortable in super clingy fabrics, but there were some amazing sweaters, coats and i really want a pair of those leather leggings. hot to trot! our goodie bags included a huge kookai scarf which will come in very handy this winter. bring on the cold already!

Does anyone else have the problem of not being able to sleep early when you know you need to get up early the next day? Well I definitely felt that on Wednesday night before Marni for H&M launched! My friend Jon is a veteran of these fashion events and under his tutelage (and very detailed email complete with a screencap from Google Maps), I managed to leave the house on time, and made it to Bond Street for 6am. I was blasting my iPod and powering up the escalator so I really didn't notice that Jon was yelling my name as he came up the escalator behind me. Whoops.
I'd lined up with Jon at the Knightsbridge store for the Lanvin H&M collection, but it was during winter, it was freezing and we waited outside for 3 hours. Yuck. We did get free gift bags with woollen scarves though, and I got my gorgeous yellow dress (above). Selfridges was a lot more civilised. The security guard who gave us our wristbands for the first group (hurrah!) kindly told us to go and wait in a cafe as we were guaranteed entry and wouldn't have to worry about coming back until closer to 9am. So we sat in Starbucks and had breakfast, then moved to another Italian cafe and had more hot drinks, before lining back up outside the entrance.
Once we were inside it was all a little bit mental with the amount of people grabbing clothes and boxes of accessories. I was getting things for a work friend too, but I somehow managed to grab the silk maxi dress and accessories I wanted. Thanks friends who held things for me! Here's what I picked up...

Here's my proposed new wardrobe by Marni for H&M! I wasn't much fussed with the Versace collection but I adore these Marni dresses and all of the accessories. When I moved to London, the Lanvin collection was released and I lined up with J from about 6am at the Knightsbridge store. I had just gotten a temp job at Harrods, so I lined up with coffees until I had to go to work - luckily just around the corner! It was definitely worth it since I got my gorgeous yellow dress... This will be the last H&M collection I'll be in London for, so bring it Marni!

I've just moved house and I'm in that horrid in-between week as I'm currently sleeping on the couch until housemate Peter moves out. I can't wait to start nesting and fit out my new room! My cousins helped me move and couldn't believe how much I've accumulated in a year. I was surprised at how many boxes I had, but really... I wasn't that surprised I have a lot of stuff. I like my stuff.
I've already talked about my friend Jess who is a graphic designer and artist and, of course, blogs! She's currently undertaking a massive fashion challenge - the No Repeat Outfit Challenge. I think it's such a great idea to get out everything you wear in your wardrobe. At the very least it will make you realise what you just can't wear, because if you don't feel comfortable in it, you'll never wear it. I also love Geneva's Wardrobe Rehab and think I'll be doing that when I get into my new room too!
Jess also designed the personalised stationery I bought for my friends as a wedding present.

So this just might be my first jealousy post. I've blogged about my friend Sam before. She's now working as the Online Editor for Sportsgirl in Australia and runs Twin Cat Vintage. And now I've just discovered Nicole Warne of Gary Pepper Vintage with photography and fashion sense to die for. Now, these two ladies are both adopted from South Korea (just like me) and I would like to have their lives please. THEY'RE JUST SO COOL. Ahem, excuse the outburst.
